It would seem that Donald Trump has seen the movie Dhurandhar and realised the potential of Liyari as a platform for targeting other countries. My impression is based on the unusual step he has taken of creating an action group with a strong Muslim identity centered on Pakistan. Ever since Pakistan became a nuclear power, the rulers of the country had dreamt of leading the Muslim world as its Caliphate. This is the first time the self-declared ruler of the world, second only to Swami Nityananda in his megalomania, has ordained an effort based on Muslim identity and centered on Pakistan. This can have far-reaching consequences for the world, and more especially for India.
Years before the production of Dhurandhar I used to see videos about gang-warfare in Karachi. The analyses by the Pakistani analysts linked it to the monetary and weapons aid given by the US during late 1970s when the US expected Pakistan to help them throw out the Russians from Afghanistan. The money and weapons that arrived like a rain-storm created centers of power that could rule without authority. The struggle for domination and the exploitation of these groups for political power led to the growth of the gangs that we see in Dhurandhar. The weapons and the money also came handy for ISI to create groups of terrorists and target India.
Pakistan has learnt to milk the US by projecting itself as an Asian power that can come handy in times of need.
A few questions often arise in my mind:
- Is Iran which is still not nuclear a more dangerous Islamic country than Pakistan?
- Is Iran more dangerous than Pakistan that harboured Osama Ben Laden and denied his presence in their country?
- Is the rise of crimes, such as grooming gangs in Europe and other countries, more due to Iran than due to Pakistan?
- Why did the attack on Iran come immediately after the take-over of Venezuelan oil?
- How good is it for US's future that the NATO countries have distanced themselves from Donald's acts?
It is obvious that the US is after Iranian oil. But, having been driven to the wall, is US's leaning upon a highly dubious Pakistan a show of political acumen? Or is it one of the waves of a mind that seems to be quite unstable?
In this context, India has done well by maintaining a distance from the conflict and focusing on its own thing.
