What makes Dhurandhar such a HUGE success?

Nationalist propaganda?

That would be a welcome sign. We Indians would love to see more and more nationalistic movies that show Indian soldiers bringing honour to the country. I distinctly remember a cartoon in which the Aman ki Asha pigeon was cooked and eaten by the officers of Pakistan army. Part one of the movie refreshes the wounds given by the plane hijack the attack on Indian Parliament and the 26/11 attack on hotel Taj in Mumbai. Part 2 takes revenge for these major incidents, and applies a soothing balm on our injured emotions. In a sense, Part 2 of the movie is a reply to the comment "You Hindus are cowards" with which Part One begins. The essence of the reply is: "We are peace-loving, but we can hit hard when we decide to."

The movie presents a distinction between a pre-2014 India when fake currency came freely from Pakistan with implicit complicity of a minister in the Congress regime, when an MP from UP behaved as the worst goonda running a mafia club, when bomb-blasts by Pakistan-sponsored terrorists followed by greater emphasis on Aman Ki Asha had become a routine, and when the Congress government after an attack the equivalent of 9/11 in the USA, made humble requests for US and UN intervention. When Modi Ji questioned: "Why do you go to America? You should go to Pakistan" and followed it up with an Operation Sindoor when Indian forces went to Pakistan instead of going to the US, the question was: is there something wrong in highlighting this change through a movie?

Let us leave the "propaganda" aspect and look at the artistic excellence of the film.

The cake is carried away by the matching of the real characters and the actors who played the role. Look at this:
